  just set up with Samsung SCX-4521F and works fine. Only printing though – anyone know if it’s possible to get scanning working like this?

  My Lexmark 5400C all in fax blah blah blah jo0bby now works too thanks for your help. I did try this before but it didnt work, however there has been a firmware upgrade recently and now it does. Thanks again.

  Thanks for excellent articles. EPSON Stylus DX8400 works correctly as a printer only (not scanning nor Epson Status Monitor etc.; cf. earlier Belkin Print Server; these are trivial limitations really as features available via print-scanner’s microscreen)

  Assuming everything works for an USB printer attached to your Livebox, as per your various articles, do you know that you can easily connect a (Wi-Fi) Pocket PC, running MS Windows Mobil 6, directly to a LiveBox USB printer, without the need for a host PC, on using a utility such as JETCET PRINT (http://www.westtek.com/pocketpc/)? Check it out first with a 15-day trial. Setup is easier than for a PC with: JETCET PRINT 5 > Add Network Printer > 192.168.1.1

  I followed your “how to install a printer to your livebox”and managed to get my CanonPixma ip4300 working with some success, however when the printer status window opens, “Cannot communicate with the printer” is displayed with an instruction to “Enable bi-directional support”but the box for this feature remains grey. Do you have a solution?

  HELP!! Hp photosmart C4599 won’t work with Livebox, apparently I should change the MAC address filter. Well, Orange tell me that is not possible. So, have hard wired printer to PC and hope that the anticipated software update will mean that I can use my Apple Mac to print wirelessly. Will this work?

  I,ve got a HP Deskjet D1360. When I connect the printer to the livebox and set the printer up as per liveprinter instructions with vista. Everything is fine until I print the test page. The page prints 3/4 then stops with a error. I Hve tried it 6 times now and re-installed the latest driver from HP. Any ideas ????

  I share the same problem as John Emerson. HP D1470 hangs up on 3/4 page and reports problem/error. Deleting is impossible, you need to restart everything. The problem is particular to Vista with wireless connection. Xp over ethernet works fine and the installation of the printer for both machines is very similar. I also reinstalled the driver 3 times to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

  for Richard Irving and John Emerson, this is something to do with HP and Vista. Anything that goes through a router does not refresh, I have problem at work and have to constantly delete and add the printer.

  I have managed to get HP Deskjet F380 working via live box for windows 2000 and XP via an IP port. Cannot get vista to fully function only 3/4 of a page.

  Have just got my Epson Stylus SX600FW to work with the Livebox using Mac OS X Snow Leopard. This has taken absolutely ages to work out. After many failed attempts at using the USB port I read the instructions that came with the printer. I have conected an ethernet cable between the printer and the Livebox blue port. Then I tried to print a document and used the ‘add printer’ function. The computer did the rest itself. I had pre-configured the i.p address in my previous failed attempts and this may have helped.   I have bought HP C4780 Photosmart wireless printer that I am trying to connect to my Livebox. I can’t get it to install because it says that the network has Macaddress filtering enabled and we can’t figure out how to disable this so the printer can talk to the Livebox. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
